Meet Team BTG
-
I'm Melissa Francis, CEO and founder of Bridge the Gap - Ending Digital Poverty CIC. I recognised the impact of lockdown on those left digitally isolated, prompting me to establish this organisation. Initially driven by personal encounters, I expanded to make it community-based, firmly believing in inclusivity. My commitment aims to bridge the digital divide and create a fair, connected society.

I serve as one of the directors and I am also the Data sim manager here for one of the projects we run. I've been with BTG since 2020. I enjoy the work I do and hope to continue to make a positive impact in my community.

Recognizing the power of visual communication, I saw an opportunity to use my skills to create impactful designs that could bridge the digital gap and enhance educational access for deprived communities. Motivated by a desire to make a meaningful difference, I joined the BTG team, willing to contribute my expertise towards a more equitable and inclusive future.

In the very early days of BTG, during the COVID lockdown, Melissa contacted me for help in getting her dream of BTG off the ground after she saw my ad on Next Door advertising my graphics services. Although the add was intended for soliciting paid clients her cause appealed to me and so I agreed to help out with the graphics. A few years on and I’m still here.

Hi, I'm Zafar, the IT Technician at Bridge the Gap - Ending Digital Poverty CIC. I joined in 2020 to give back to the community. It's not always about taking; I wanted to use my skills to help people and make a positive impact.

I’m Sanjana.
I recently started volunteering at BTG and I am part of the HR team.
I was inspired to join BTG by their mission and values, witnessing the impactful work they do in bridging the digital divide. It's heartwarming to see how many families have benefited from improved access to digital resources.
Being part of the BTG family is a privilege, and I'm eager to use my skills and expertise to contribute to a better future.
